Growth & Business Development Intern
Role Overview
As a Growth & Business Development Intern, you will support initiatives that help PayOak grow its user base, strengthen customer relationships, and expand brand awareness. You will work closely with the team on user outreach, community engagement, partnership research, and growth campaigns.
This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in growth, marketing, business development, and startup operations.

Location: Fully Remote
Monthly Stipend: ₦150,000
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, applicants must:
Be 30 years old or younger
Have graduated from a tertiary institution in 2022 or later
Have successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme
Be available to participate in the full 12-month internship programme

This internship is designed as a pathway into a full-time career at PayOak. High-performing interns may be considered for permanent employment opportunities upon successful completion of the programme, subject to performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
User Outreach & Engagement
Assist in identifying individuals and businesses that may benefit from PayOak's services
Support outreach to freelancers, vendors, creators, and small businesses
Help onboard new users to the platform
Respond to basic user inquiries and direct users to the appropriate support channels
Community & Growth Support
Support engagement initiatives across online communities and social platforms
Help promote PayOak within relevant business, creator, and entrepreneurial communities
Assist in sharing educational content, product updates, and growth campaigns
Marketing & Content Support
Assist with social media and customer communication activities
Help draft outreach messages, onboarding materials, and marketing content
Support email campaigns and user awareness initiatives
Research & Reporting
Conduct research on potential partnership, growth, and market opportunities
Track outreach activities, onboarding progress, and campaign performance
Share user feedback, insights, and observations with the team
Requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt quickly
Interest in fintech, startups, marketing, growth, or business development
Good organizational and time-management skills
Comfortable using social media platforms and digital communication tools
Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
